Fauveringen consists of a small group of breeders from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, who is working together in the work of breeding Basset Fauve de Bretagne in Scandinavia.
 
 The reason for this is that we who are involved in this cooperation all strive to maintain the breeds allround hunting qualities and to do so, we all look at the pedigree, hunting qualities, exterior, etc. and then breed accordingly to maintain the allround hunting qualitys.
 
 Of course, also the exterior and mental plays a big role in our breeding and the matings we do is allways a combination in which we ourselves are prepared to keep the puppy from! We mate dogs with good hunting qualities, good stable mentality, good coat and good exterior.
 
 The plan is to expand the genetic breeding base, by continuing to import strong huntingdogs from the breeds home country France on a regular basis.
